If you, like many of our patients, suffer from neck pain in Waldwick, we understand how difficult each day can be. A symptom of a greater underlying problem, neck pain can be debilitating. Neck pain's severity can range from mild stiffness, aches, and tenderness to severe stabbing pain. It radiates through the shoulders and arms to the hands, up the jaw into the head, causing headaches. Neck pain must be addressed at its source.
Neck pain has many different causes which range from infections and injuries to conditions affecting the spine such as osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis, and herniated discs. We work with each patient to determine the cause of their pain and resolve the underlying problem. Neck pain occurs most commonly due to injuries of the neck's soft tissues such as the muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and nervous tissue. Injuries to the neck often fall into the category of sprains and strains. These occur when the tissues are stretched or flexed outside of their normal range of motions. Sprains and strains include injuries such as whiplash, sports injuries, and slip and fall accidents. The neck's soft tissue can also be injured due to poor posture, text neck, and sleeping in an unusual position.
At Total Health Associates, Dr. Steve Jones and his team of healthcare professionals provide patients with a comprehensive list of holistic, natural, and non-invasive neck pain treatments which can be applied alone or in tandem to address neck pain at its source. Using treatments such as chiropractic adjustment, massage therapy, acupuncture, and corrective exercises and stretches, Dr. Jones works with each patient one-on-one to devise an individualized wellness plan and treatment schedule.
